I have been working for a long time on developing this new seminar format, designed to offer a deeply personalised approach tailored to each participant’s needs. Based on your current skill level, we will create a customised program to address your questions and tackle the challenges you face in your tattooing journey—both artistically and technically.
The seminar is conducted in small groups of two participants. This setup encourages broader discussions and allows for a more diverse exchange of experiences, as we explore the technical and artistic challenges of tattooing from each artist’s perspective. You are welcome to apply together with a colleague, or we can pair you with another participant of a similar level.
The workshop spans two days (usually Monday and Tuesday) and takes place at my studio, Noire Ink, in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Day One is dedicated to theory: we cover a range of topics, analyse and discuss your tattooing process, identify areas for improvement, and review past mistakes. This sets the foundation for the practical component.
Day Two is focused on hands-on practice. You will tattoo a piece—chosen and prepared in advance—on synthetic skin under my supervision. This allows you to apply everything we covered on the first day.
Alternatively, you may bring a model to tattoo if someone is willing to participate. However, working on a real person can sometimes introduce additional pressure, which might shift your focus away from analysing the process. We can discuss and decide on the best option together during the workshop preparation.
